Sandi, I hope this helps. This may get you back another generation because Thomas's marriage record gives Aaron Gamble as his father. I did not see a record for Mary Ann's baptism. The other children are on the last page that I sent for 1st Kilrea.

It appears that Thomas Gamble of Lislea had a brother David who was married to a Nancy Magill and their children are recorded in 1st Kilrea as Elizabeth (1848) Grizila??(1851) Margaret (1853) and Nancy Ann (1857). There is also a James Gamble of Lislea married to a Jane McKay who had a son Wilson baptized in 1851.

I know some of your dates don't jive with the records. I have also had that problem..the more Irish records you look at the more confusing it gets.

David, I can't quite make out Mr. McNanee first name. I'll work on it and maybe can figure it out. It looks like "Nik". I think the minister made a mistake in the bride's last name as that is her mother's maiden name. What do you think? Barb

Grifith is very very faint and I wouldn't have recognized it if I didn't know what I was looking for....it looks like Crifik. The second entry Cubit looks similar to Grifith, in fact, but no "f" in it and I believe it starts with a C. You may have to find a Census of Drumack to get a better spelling. It confused the minister as well as he wrote over the entry and initialed it HWR!

From: Barbara Braswell I think the Reverend Rodgers was a first class genealogist! I could not figure out the word beginning Eden and whether the following word was Omagh or Armagh. I did not have a map of the area. Does anyoneknow how it should read? Barb

From: Isaac Thompson "Edergole" (you have "Edengole") is near Omagh, Co Tyrone. Groggan is still near Randalstown, Co Antrim!
